Journeyworker Requirements
Each Apprenticeship supports industry recognized accreditation through the Dept. of Education (DOE). However, it is important to note that the FCB requires the Journeyworker or the Supervisor certifying the work process completion to hold the following credentials:
Addictions Counselor
- A Physician or Physician’s Assistant licensed under Chapters 458 or 459, F.S.
- A professional licensed under Chapters 490 or 491, F.S.
- An Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed under Part 1 of Chapter 464, F.S. and meeting the Board of Nursing requirements for an ARNP designation
- MCAP, CAP
- CAC who has documented sufficient skills and knowledge of an occupation through practical on-the-job experience and formal training and will collaborate with any above credentialed professional responsible for signing off on all final work.
Behavior Health Technician
- Supervisor who holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field
- A Physician or Physician’s Assistant licensed under Chapters 458 or 459, F.S.
- A professional licensed under Chapters 490 or 491, F.S.
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed under Part 1 of Chapter 464, F.S. and meeting the Board of Nursing requirements for an ARNP designation
- MCAP, CAP
- Skilled worker who has documented sufficient skills and knowledge of the occupation through practical on-the-job experience and formal training and will collaborate with any above credentialed professional responsible for signing off on all final work.
Peer Specialist
Professional who has worked the number of years required by established industry practices for the occupation. This would include immediate supervisor or any other agency supervisors, trainers, mentors, quality assurance staff, and any other agency management or leadership staff assigned by the employer to provide supervision.
